New York's Electric Zoo music festival is set to return later this month after last year's event was cut short by the drug-related deaths of two attendees.
Now The New York Times says the man who sold one of the late music fans the drugs has been arrested. Patrick Morgan was tracked down in Buffalo, New York earlier this week after a friend involved in the alleged Electric Zoo MDMA purchase cooperated with the Drug Enforcement Administration.
Morgan has been charged with narcotics distribution and narcotics conspiracy, which both carry a maximum prison sentence of 20 years. After appearing in federal court, he was released on 100-thousand dollars bond.
The 2014 edition of Electric Zoo is scheduled to get under way on August 29th.
Organizers announced plans earlier this year to increase their efforts to deter drug use by bringing in drug-sniffing dogs and more undercover police officers.
